Xiaomi MI CC9 Pro With 108MP Penta-Cameras Officially Announced

Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro Key Specs And Features

The Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro is launched with a 6.47-inch OLED display with a Dot notch for the selfie camera and FHD+ resolution. What grabs the attention here is the penta-lens camera setup at the rear accommodating a massive 108MP primary Samsung sensor with an f/1.69 aperture and 1/1.33-inch pixel size.

Accompanying the primary chipset is an 8MP telephoto sensor with 10x hybrid zoom and OIS, a 20MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, a 12MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro sensor. To capture selfies and to make/receive video calls, the Dot notch houses a 32MP selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture. Notably, this selfie sensor is quite common on premium smartphones nowadays.

In terms of the processor, the Mi CC9 Pro is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 730G chipset based on 8nm architecture. This is a game-centric chipset we also saw on the Oppo Reno 2.

The Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro is launched in three RAM and storage variants - 6GB RAM+ 64GB storage, 8GB RAM+ 128GB storage, and 12GB RAM+ 256GB UFS 2.1 storage. The device will ship with an Android Pie OS and offer an MIUI 10 user interface. It isn't clear why

Xiaomi has not pre-installed the MIUI 11 skin which was announced recently and dished out to some older devices like the Redmi K20 and others. The device offers an in-display fingerprint scanner for security and has a USB Type-C port connectivity option.

Completing the specification sheet is a huge 5,260 mAh battery which comes with 30W fast charging support. The Mi CC9 Pro packs some top-of-the-line hardware and is one of its kind to offer a massive 108MP primary camera sensor.

Xiaomi already is quite popular in the budget segment since it introduced the Redmi Note 7 series with a 48MP dual-camera setup. The latest entrant just upped the company's game in the premium segment as well.
