Xiaomi announced the Mi Max 2 in May 2017 hinting that it is time for the next-generation Mi Max device for this year to be unveiled in the coming weeks or months. We can expect the Mi Max 3 to be the sequel to the Mi Max 2 as it is one of the highly-anticipated smartphones, which is likely to arrive with a huge 18:9 display and a capacious battery.
Given that 2017 was a year of trends in the smartphone industry, we can expect the Mi Max 3 to feature major features such as 18:9 aspect ratio, dual rear cameras and wireless charging. While the launch of this smartphone is expected to be nearing, a set of images of the Mi Max 3 TPU case have been spotted on the Chinese Alibaba website.
Leaked TPU Cases
These new images give us a glance at the key features of the upcoming device. As seen in the images above, the TPU case for the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 shows that there will be a fingerprint sensor at the rear just like its predecessor. There appears to be a cutout for vertically stacked dual cameras at the top left corner of the case. We can expect the LED flash to be positioned between the camera sensors.
The tip of the case appears to have an opening for the 3.5mm audio jack and the other appears to be that of the IR blaster. There are cutouts for the stereo speakers at the bottom along with that for the USB Type-C port between speaker openings.
From the images of the case, we can expect the Mi Max 3 to feature a similar design as the Mi Max 2. Previous reports have suggested that the upcoming Mi Max 3 could arrive with wireless charging support. If this turns out to be true, then the smartphone might have a glass back panel instead of metal.
When it comes to the rumored specifications, the smartphone could arrive with a dual-camera setup at its rear as the Mi 6, a 6.99-inch FHD+ display with an aspect ratio of 18:9, and a 5500mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 3.0. The smartphone is rumored to arrive in two variants - one with a Snapdragon 636 chipset, 3GB RAM and 64GB storage space and the other with a Snapdragon 660 chipset, 4GB RAM and 128GB storage.
Improved performance on tow
The Mi Max series of smartphones is quite popular among consumers for several highlights such as the huge screen and capacious battery. If these speculations turn out to be true, then the Mi Max 3 will be a great device with an 18:9 display, a capacious battery with both fast charging and wireless charging features and dual cameras for an improved camera performance.
