Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S hands-on video and render leaked; stunning design expected
The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S is expected to launch at MWC 2018 later this month in Barcelona.
Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S's specifications have been leaked several times, giving us a fair idea of what to expect from the phone. Unfortunately though, the design aspect of the smartphone is still behind the curtain. We have seen a few alleged images of the Mi Mix 2S so far, but none of those look authentic. Recent reports suggests the smartphone will sport a full-screen, bezel-less design.

Well, guess what? A hands-on video believed to be of the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S has popped up online. While it is a brief video (embedded below) of just 10 seconds, the bottom part of the handset can be seen clearly. The smartphone apparently features an exceptionally higher screen to body ratio and an almost bezel-less chin. And it looks stunning! If this video turns out to be legit, Mi Mix 2S will be among the most beautiful smartphones of 2018.
In a separate leak, a protective film manufacturer for the Mi Mix 2S has posted an alleged image of the smartphone. However, the photo doesn't look so convincing. As per the photo, the smartphone should come with an almost zero forehead and almost negligible bezels. What seems odd is that the selfie camera, earpiece and sensors are nowhere in sight. So we assume this photo could just be a fan-made render.

Codenamed as Polaris, the Mi Mix 2S is tipped to be Xiaomi's first smartphone to feature Snapdragon 845 SoC. The firmware files of the smartphone have recently revealed the same; the Mi Mix 2 will indeed be powered by Qualcomm's latest flagship processor.
The smartphone is likely to be fitted with an FHD+ display with a screen resolution of 2,160×1,080 pixels. In other words, the display will have an aspect ratio of 18:9. On the software front, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S is said to run on Android 8.0 Oreo operating system.
The firmware files also revealed that Mi Mix 2's successor will feature a Sony IMX363 sensor. Apparently, there is suggesting that the smartphone's camera will be AI-enabled.
The rear camera may further offer automatic HDR, object tracking among others. Other features present onboard said to include IR Blaster, Dual SIM support, and LED flash. Talking about the battery, the upcoming Xiaomi phone could pack a 3,400mAh cell under its hood.
The Mi Mix 2S will reportedly launch at MWC 2018 later this month in Barcelona.
