Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 Tipped to Feature New Hinge Design, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Chipset
Xiaomi is gearing up to launch its next-gen foldable, the Mix Fold 3, soon. A few details about the upcoming smartphone have been leaked online, revealing key hardware specifications. If the latest rumor is to be believed, the Mix Fold 3 will sport a new waterdrop hinge design and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC.
Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 Rumored Features
According to tipster Digital Chat Station, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 will feature a curved glass body and a thin and lightweight design. The foldable display will also get a new waterdrop hinge.

As for the processor, the Mix Fold 3 will reportedly feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. The foldable smartphone could come with support for 67W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging. It could come with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 4.0 storage.
When it comes to imaging, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 is expected to sport a 1-inch 50MP Sony IMX989 primary camera. It will also feature two secondary lenses, with one supporting 3.2x optical zoom, while the periscope lens will feature 5x zoom.
According to previous leaks, the Mix Fold 3 will sport an 8.02-inch main display and a 6.5-inch cover display. Both screens will feature an FHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz.
Back in April, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 made its way to the IMEI database, bearing the model number 2308CPXD0C. According to a Xiaomiui report, the smartphone may not debut globally, and will only launch in China.
Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 Availability
The Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 with model number 2308CPXD0C, codenamed "Babylon," will likely launch in August. To recall, its predecessor, the Mix Fold 2, launched in China back in August 2022.
Some reports suggest that the Mix Fold 3 could debut in China on August 11. The device is expected to come in black leather and white glass color options.
