Xiaomi Redmi 5 with 2GB RAM up for open sale on Amazon today
Are you looking forward to buy the Xiaomi Redmi 5? Amazon is hosting an open sale of the smartphone today.
The base variant of the Xiaomi Redmi 5 with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage space is available via open sale on both the website and mobile app of Amazon India today. The ongoing sale will happen until 11:59 PM today. During the open sale, all the four colors of the smartphone - Rose Gold, Gold, Black, and Blue will be available for purchase. Though it is an open sale, the Redmi 5 will be available until the stocks last so you need to hurry up if you want to get hold of one.
Besides the open sale, the Redmi 5 is also available under other deals and discounts as Xiaomi is hosting the Mi Fan Festival on Amazon, Flipkart and Mi.com right now. Under this sale, the Redmi 5 will get additional offers and discounts. Amazon India is offering additional discounts such as 90% or up to Rs. 400 off on Kindle eBooks, Rs. 2,200 cash back and data offers from Reliance Jio and 5% or up to Rs. 500 instant discount with SBI credit cards.
This open sale of the Redmi 5 should be a great opportunity for those who are waiting to grab hold of the smartphone and couldn't do it in the flash sales. Notably, the smartphone went on flash sale on March 30 exclusively via Amazon and Mi.com.
Xiaomi Redmi 5 launched in India in mid-March in three variants. The base variant with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage space is priced at Rs. 7,999 and this will be listed for open sale today. The other two variants have 3GB RAM and 32GB storage space and 4GB RAM and 64GB storage space. These two models of the Redmi 5 are priced at Rs. 8,999 and Rs. 10,999.
To recap, the Redmi 5 adorns a 5.7-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels and 18:9 aspect ratio. Under its hood, the smartphone makes use of an octa-core 1.8GHz Snapdragon 450 processor with Adreno 506 GPU and a 3300mAh battery. The camera aspects include a 12MP rear camera with PDAF and f/2.2 aperture and a 5MP selfie camera. The other aspects of the Redmi 5 are Android 7.1.2 Nougat with MIUI 9, GPS, Wi-Fi, 4G VoLTE, Infrared, and a microSD card slot supporting up to 128GB of additional storage.
