Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro Android 8.1 Oreo update brings Project Treble support

The list does include the Redmi Note 5, which was launched in China in the last week. Actually, the same device has been announced in India as the Redmi Note 5 Pro in February.

Eventually, the Redmi Note 5 Pro has started receiving the MIUI 9.5 update. This update takes the smartphone from Android 7.1.2 Nougat to Android 8.1 Oreo. Also, the device gets the highly anticipated Project Treble support too, claims a report by XDA Developers.

According to reports, the MIUI 9.5 China update can be flashed on the Redmi Note 5 Pro units in India. It is said that Xiaomi uses the same codebase and codename for both the Indian and Chinese variants of the device letting users to in India to flash the MIUI 9 Global Stable ROM on their devices.
