Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro MIUI 11 Update Brings Revamped UI, New Features
Xiaomi introduced the stable MIUI interface back in September with new features. Since its official launch, several Xiaomi smartphones have received the new UI. Recently, the company released the stable MIUI 11 update to the Redmi 8 series including the Redmi 8A. Now, the Redmi Note 6 Pro is getting some new features via the MIUI 11 update.
Redmi Note 6 Pro Stable MIUI 11 Update Details
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro stable MIUI 11 update comes with MIUI 11.0.1.0.PEKXIXM model number. The update weighs around 565MB in size and comes with a whole bunch of features along with a new UI.
The update has already reached a number of users, but a mass rollout is expected to be completed in the coming days. Alternatively, you can check the update manually as well. All you need to do is go to the Settings menu and look for System Update option under the About Phone tab.
Coming to the changelog, the MIUI update brings the October 2019 Android security patch. It brings an updated Mi File Manager. This option will allow the users to view their files without any additional app support as thumbnails.
The update also brings some useful features like Steps tracker, a Floating Calculator, Wallpaper Carousel, and dynamic sounds. The UI is also refreshed following the update.
As for the specifications, the Redmi Note 6 Pro offers a 6.26-inch FHD+ display with 1080 x 2280 pixels resolution and a Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 636 processor with 1.8GHz clock speed and Adreno 509 GPU.
It comes with up to 6GB RAM and 64GB storage. The device was launched with Android Oreo OS, but had received the Android Pie update this year. For optics, it is equipped with a dual-rear camera setup housing a 12MP primary sensor with an f/1.9 aperture and a 5MP depth sensor.
For selfies, the Redmi Note 6 Pro has dual-lens setup packing a 20MP primary sensor with an f/2.0 aperture paired with a 5MP sensor. Keeping everything in check is a 4,000 mAh battery unit.
