Xiaomi Sold 800,000 Redmi Note 2 Units in 12 Hours

Few days back, Chinese handset maker Xiaomi has launched Redmi Note 2 in its home market. In yesterday's sale, the company has sold around 800,000 stocks in 12 hours, which is pretty impressive.

The company announced its sales report on Weibo and also announced that the Redmi Note will go on sale again on August 24. Moreover, the company will be conducting its global launch event in New Delhi on August 19.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 - Key Specifications

Xiaomi Redmi Note 2, sports a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and 178-degree wide viewing angle.

The Redmi Note 2 is powered by 2GHz MediaTek Helio X10 (MT6795) processor with PowerVR G6200 GPU, while the Redmi Note 2 Prime is clocked at 2.2GHz as mentioned above, which is the only difference. Both the device is equipped with 2GB RAM under the hood.

Moving on to the camera front, this device has 13MP rear camera with LED Flash, PDAF, Samsung / OmniVision Sensor, 5p lens, f/2.2 aperture, 78-degree wide-angle lens, 1080p video recording, 5MP front-facing camera, OmniVision sensor, 1.4-micron pixel, 720p video recording.

Further, this device comes with the storage option f 16GB/32GB built-in memory. In terms of software, the device is shipped with Android 5.0 Lollipop on top of MIUI 7 out of the box.
