Xiaomi to Unveil MIUI 8 with New Notification Shades: Here's a Sneak Peak Video

    Yesterday, we have reported the launch date of Xiaomi's next mid-range phablet dubbed as Mi Max with a 6.4-inch display. However, it turns out that the company is not only launching the phablet but also unveiling the Mi Band 2 along with MIUI 8 on May 10 at Beijing National Convention Center.

    Couple of days back, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun has teased the next-gen Mi Band 2 that has screen and button.

    Moreover, in their official blog post, they said, "MIUI 8, a new big update of Mi phones' operating system, will be launched on May 10. You'll witness the launch of MIUI 8, Mi Max and Mi Band 2 on the event in May."

    They added, "Evolving from the first version in 2010, MIUI has served as the operating system for over 150 million across the globe. I am sure all of your devices have updated to the latest version of MIUI 7, no matter you are using stable or developer ROMs."

    Further, "On May 10, we will introduce you MIUI 8, with the features you always wanted and new designs beyond your imagination. New design, with new experience."

    Talking about the specifications of Xiaomi Mi Max, it comes packed with 6.4-inch Full HD IPS display, Hexa-Core Snapdragon 650 SoC, 2GB RAM with 16GB ROM/ 3GB RAM with 32GB ROM, Android 6.0, 16MP/5MP camera.

    Anyhow, the pricing of the device is yet to be announced, we have to wait till the launch date which is May 10.
