ZTE A530 with 18:9 Display, Android 8.0 Oreo goes official
ZTE A530 is a budget smartphone with entry-level specifications.
ZTE has launched a new entry-level smartphone called the ZTE A530 in China. The smartphone is already up for sale in the country via the company's official site. The A530 comes with a price tag of CNY 799 (roughly Rs. 8,300). Despite being a budget device, it has couple of highlights. As such, the smartphone runs Android Oreo and sports an 18:9 display.
The ZTE A530 is fitted with a 5.45-inch HD+ display with a screen resolution of 720×1440 pixels. As stated, the display has an aspect ratio of 18:9. The handset sports a screen to body ratio of 82 percent. Under the hood, it is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MTK6739 processor that is clocked at 1.5GHz. The smartphone features 2GB of RAM and 16GB of inbuilt storage, which can be further expanded using the dedicated microSD card slot onboard.
In terms of optics, the ZTE A530 is equipped with a 5MP rear-facing primary camera with autofocus and flash. At the front, there is a 2MP fixed focus selfie camera. The smartphone runs on Android 8.0 Oreo topped with custom MiFavor 5.2. A 2,660mAh battery runs the entire package.
On the connectivity front, the smartphone offers options such as 4G VoLTE, GPS/ A-GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, NFC, Bluetooth v4.1, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a Micro-USB port. The handset measures 146.4×69.2×8.5mm.
While we are sure yet, the ZTE A530 is unlikely to reach the Indian market. We will still wait for the official confirmation on this matter.
ZTE's sub-brand Nubia last month launched the V18 smartphone. It comes with a 6.01-inch Full HD+ display with the aspect ratio of 18:9. The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, clubbed with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, which is expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card.
On the software front, the Nubia V18 runs on Android 7.1 Nougat operating system. When it comes to cameras, the smartphone has a 13MP rear-facing primary camera with LED flash and PDAF. It also features an 8MP front camera for selfies.
The Nubia V18 draws power from a large 4,000mAh battery with NeoPower 3.0 technology and USB OTG support. The phone's connectivity suite offers features like 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, and GPS + GLONASS.
