ZTE Blade A1 with Octa Core SoC, Fingerprint Scanner, Android Lollipop launched

ZTE announced a new budget phone dubbed the Blade A1 in China. However unlike most other boring budget device, the Blade A1 packs quite a punch by sporting rare features that generally not associated with its class.

ZTE Blade A1 is the World’s Cheapest smartphone to sport a Fingerprint

Apparently the ZTE Blade A1 is the cheapest phone to come with a Fingerprint Scanner. ZTE claims that the Fingerprint Scanner can unlock the device in just 0.3 seconds. This is impeccably fast for a budget device like the ZTE Blade A1.

Apart from the Fingerprint Scanner the Blade A1 sports a 5 inch HD (1280x720p) display, 1.3GHz Octa Core Mediatek 6735 SoC, 2GB RAM and 16GB of on board storage. There is also room for memory expansion via MicroSD card slot. In terms of camera the ZTE Blade A1 features a 13MP rear camera along with a 8MP front facing selfie snapper. The rear camera is further equipped with a single LED Flash.

The ZTE Blade A1 is powered by a 2800mAH Li-Poly and runs on Android Lollipop 5.1 with ZTE own UI own UI on top. ZTE has been quite aggressive with the pricing of the Blade A1, as the smartphone will go soon go on sale in China via JD.com at just CNY 599 (Rs 6,000 approx.). Presently JD.com is only accepting reservations for the smartphone which is scheduled to go on sale later this December.
