ZTE schedules an event on January 5, is it for the Nubia Z11?
ZTE has now posted a teaser on Weibo regarding a new announcement associated with their Nubia line up on January 5. While it's not clearly known yet what exactly ZTE has in store, but it's something big for sure.
Some reports hint that ZTE is prepping to launch their new flagship smartphone dubbed the Nubia Z11 on the above mentioned date. For those unaware the Nubia Z11 have already made an appearance via online renders towards the end of last year. In fact the renders indicated a bezel less curved 5.2 inch QHD (2560x1440p) display. It's worth noting the Nubia Z9 too came with minimal bezels and nifty implemented of the 'near' bezel less design in the form FiT (Frame Integration Technology).

Coming to the internals the ZTE Nubia Z11 sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC on the inside which is further strapped with 4GB of RAM and 128GB on internal storage. Other leaked specifications included a 20.7MP rear camera, 13MP selfie snapper and a Fingerprint Scanner backed by an all metal built.
Despite claims by tipsters it is highly unlikely for ZTE to launch their flagship smartphone so inconspicuously on the January 5th. Instead the Chinese company might prefer to choose the MWC platform to showcase their latest flagship Nubia smartphone. But then what's to expect from the Jan 5 event?
According to a report by GizmoChina, Nubia might be announcing the launch of their international website for their Nubia line up of smartphone at the event. In case you are unaware ZTE recently bought the nubia.com domain for a whopping $2million. So they would definitely love to put their money to use as early as possible.
