Nokia Lumia 1520: Images and Full Specs Leaked Ahead Of Official Announcement

Finnish mobile phone manufacturer, Nokia, is all set for its most awaited October 22nd event, Nokia World. Taking place in Abu Dhabi, Nokia will reportedly announce 6 new devices in the very event.

However, prior to the official announcement, one device that has been leaked several times is Lumia 1520. This is also the first phablet from Nokia. Yesterday, several images of the handset surfaced online along with the new casings. Apart from that, later during the same day, the complete specifictions of the handset along with its price and availability appeared online.

The leaked images came from Twitter user ‏@ctechcn, and showed the device clad in Red. However, the previous leaks of the Lumia 1520 smartphone show that we might also be see the handset in Black, Yellow, and White color variants. This leak didn't reveal any further details.

The second leak however, disclosed most of the specs of the handset. According to NokiaPowerUser, the 6-inch Windows Phone 8 smartphone, Lumia 1520, would come with a full HD resolution.

The post further said that the device would feature a quad-core 2GHz MSM8974 Snapdragon 800 processor inside, with Adreno 330 graphics, and 2GB of RAM.

Poised to directly compete against the Sony Xperia Z1 handset, the Lumia 1520 is said to house a 20.7-megapixel camera with Zeiss optics and better saturation settings, panorama, and OIS. The sensor will be capable of shooting 5MP and 16MP photos at the same time. Additionally, the camera is also said to be able to shoot photos at a maximum resolution of 18MP and to offer 4X lossless zoom for HD video recording.

When it comes to internal storage capacity, the Nokia Lumia 1520 would come in two variants, with 32GB and 64GB of internal memory. However, there would be a microSD card slot to expand the storage capacity. The handset comes with a nano-SIM card slot. It is also reportedly said to support 4G LTE networks.

The blog reads that the handset would measure 152 x 81 x 8.7 mm and weighs 168 grams (the AT&T version is 160 grams) and would be powered by a 3400mAh battery and should feature built-in wireless charging.

Reportedly, Nokia would release the handset in Black, White, and Yellow color variants while the Red variant was also spotted online recently.

Talking about the price and availability of the handset, the device would be unveiled on October 22 and is speculated be available from AT&T on November 2nd. While, the handset will hit the global market around December at the price of $299 (approx. Rs. 18403) on contract and at $699 (approx. Rs. 43,023) outright.
