Nokia Lumia 925 Up For Pre Order in India At Rs 33,999: A Serious Threat to Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom?
August 2013 seems to be a busy month for Nokia in India. With Independence Day approaching fast, the Finnish giant must be thinking how to recapture market from Samsung. The best possible way is to launch new devices. The buzz is that Nokia is already prepping to launch a mid-end Lumia 625 sometime late August.
On the other hand, Nokia has officially opened the pre-booking for Lumia 925, the high-end WP8 smartphone with the likes of PureView technology. Online sites such as FlipKart have already listed the device for Rs. 33,999. Further, it is expected to go official in the fourth week of August, as by online shopping site FlipKart, available in White and Black colors.
Originally, Nokia announced the Lumia 925 in London. Specswise, it packs a 4.5-inch PureMotion HD+ display with resolution of 1,280 x 768 pixels, 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB or 32GB of internal storage, Wi-Fi, 3G, Qi wireless charging (optional), NFC, an 8.7-mega pixel rear facing camera with dual LED flashlight, A-GPS, a 2,000mAh Li Ion battery, and weighs 139grams. This has to be Nokia's most eye catching phone with metallic frame, and very thing profile.
Nokia Lumia 925 - Is It A Serious Threat to Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom Sales?
Few days ago, Samsung India announced its much anticipated Galaxy S4 Zoom in India. It's a dedicated camera phone with massive camera lens on the rear back and comes with an array of imaging features. The phone is similar to Galaxy S4 Mini in terms of specifications.
Here is the specifications sheet for your knowledge: a 4.3 inches Super AMOLED display having 540 x 960 pixels at 256 ppi pixel density. Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean comes out of the box. The Galaxy S4 Zoom is powered by a 1.5 GHz Cortex-A9 Dual core processor coupled with 1.5 GB RAM. The makers have added a 2, 330 mAh Li Ion battery inside. Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom is now available for Rs. 29,390.
The biggest highlight of the Galaxy S4 Zoom is a 16 MP rear camera sensor at the rear back. It has the best imaging functions, you can imagine: Autofocus, LED Flash light, 10x optical Digital Zoom, Optical Image Stabilizer (OIS) and more. Full HD videos can be recorded at @30fps. There's a 1.9MP front facing camera. The ROM stands at 8GB, which can be further expanded up to 64GB via microSD card.
For first time Nokia introduced a metallic styled WP8 powered Lumia smartphone. The metallic frame also acts an antenna. Talking about the camera fitted inside - an 8.7-mega pixel, is said to be great. From Panoramic shots to macro images, the Lumia 925 has the best imaging technology available. The additional Smart Camera app surely enhances, the way you edit images and choose in-between the best shots.
GizBot has come to a conclusion that both devices have some negative and positive point. The Galaxy S4 Zoom caters to those who always wanted to have a mash up of dedicated camera and decent smartphone. Surely the device is bulky, and it would be difficult to carry around. On the other hand, the Nokia Lumia powered by Windows 8 has subtle design - very royal. The only downside is lack of apps available on WP8 app store. Price wise, both handsets are almost same. Though, Galaxy S4 Zoom costs under Rs. 30,000. Stay tuned to GizBot for more updates.
