OnePlus One Silk White Variant 16GB Launched at Rs 18,999
Chinese handset maker OnePlus, officially announced, the so-called killer flagship OnePlus One 16GB has been launched today in the Indian market with a price tag of Rs. 18,999. It will go on sale via invite system on the e-retail store Amazon India tomorrow.
Regarding the invite system for this smartphone, the company has posted, "In line with OnePlus' famous invite system, Indian users will need an invite to purchase the Silk White One; the same invite may be used to purchase either the 16GB or 64GB version. OnePlus fans in India can visit OnePlus' Indian Facebook page or the OnePlus Forum to participate in a contest to receive an invite today".
When compared to Xiaomi Mi4, OnePlus One has a slight edge over the price point comparatively. While Xiaomi Mi4 16GB and 64GB costs around, Rs 19,999 and Rs 23,999 respectively, the OnePlus One 16GB and 64GB costs less, which is Rs 18,999 and Rs 21,999.

OnePlus One is powered by Qualcomm's one of the latest SoCs Snapdragon 801 with 2.5GHz Quad-core CPUs, coupled with 3GB of RAM. OnePlus One runs on CyanogenMod 11S OS based on Android 4.4 (KitKat) platform. Also, it features a 5.5-inch Full HD display offering a resolution of 1920 ×1080 pixels slapped with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on it.
On the imaging front the handset is pretty equipped, as it uses a 13MP rear camera with Sony's IMX214 stacked sensor with 6-element lens, f/2.0 aperture, dual LED flash 4K video recording. Moreover, a 5MP front-facing snapper with f/2.0 aperture is also a standard one. Connectivity option includes 4G LTE / 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4/5 GHz), WiFi Direct, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and NFC.
It should be noted that the LTE variant of the device works with bands 1/3/4/7/17/38/40 and 3G model works in bands 1/2/4/5/8. Dimension-wise, the smartphone measures 152.9 x 75.9 x 8.9 mm and weighs 162 grams, further it draws energy from a heavy 3100 mAh battery. OnePlus has built a customOS called Oxygen for Indian users and is all set to roll out its next update based on Android 5.0 Lollipop.
