OnePlus One To launch in India on Dec 2: Will Be Exclusively Sold Via Amazon

As expected, OnePlus will launch the 'flagship killer' smartphone - the One in India on December 2nd as the company has already released the press invites for the launch event in Delhi on the same date.

Although, everything has been pretty transparent about the device and its specs, it's just the pricing that will become the major part of the announcement. As informed earlier, it will be available for purchase starting from December 2nd, exclusively from Amazon.in.

OnePlus One is powered by Qualcomm's one of the latest SoCs Snapdragon 801 with 2.5GHz Quad-core CPUs, which is also used in Sony and Samsung in their respective flagship devices. The smartphone will be offered in 16GB and 64GB variants. Further, coupled with 3GB of RAM, OnePlus One runs on CyanogenMod 11S OS based on Android 4.4 (KitKat) platform.

Also, it features a 5.5-inch Full HD display offering a resolution of 1920 ×1080 pixels slapped with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on it. On the imaging front the handset is pretty equipped, as it uses a 13-megapixel camera with Sony's IMX214 stacked sensor with 6-element lens, f/2.0 aperture, dual LED flash 4K video recording. Moreover, a 5-megapixel front-facing snapper with f/2.0 aperture is also a standard one.

As informed by the company, OnePlus One will be released in two variants depending on the storage capacity ie. 16GB and 64GB model. Connectivity options include 4G LTE / 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4/5 GHz), WiFi Direct, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and NFC. It should be noted that the LTE variant of the device works with bands 1/3/4/7/17/38/40 and 3G model works in bands 1/2/4/5/8. Dimension-wise, the smartphone measures 152.9 x 75.9 x 8.9 mm and weighs 162 grams, further it draws energy from a heavy 3100 mAh battery.
