Panasonic Eluga U Officially Launched At Rs 18,990: All That You Need To Know

Panasonic, which has been selling the P81 smartphone in India in a commendable manner has today launched its most awaited high-end smartphone called the Eluga U. The launch of the new smartphone from Panasonic can also be taken as the launch of the new series of smartphone from the company. The Eluga U is officially priced at Rs. 18,990 and it will start selling from tomorrow.

However, the latest offering from Panasonic has been selling from third-party online retailer eBay at a lesser price of Rs. 17,490, since yesterday. In the related news, the company also said that it would launch a new model in the Eluga series called the Eluga A in less than 15 days from now. However unlike the one that has been launched today, the upcoming Eluga A will be cheaper and will feature a downgraded specs.

Panasonic Eluga U: Key Specifications

Panasonic Eluga U sports a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS OGS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and is powered by 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor with Adreno 305 GPU coupled with 2GB RAM and it runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) OS.

Imagining aspect of the smartphone is pretty impressive as well as it bears a 13MP rear camera with LED Flash and is capable of shooting video at 1080p quality. Also add a 2MP front-facing shooter.

It is not a thin device but comes with a 7.95 mm thick unibody design and weighs 141 grams. Apart from that there is a large 16GB internal memory which can be further expanded up to 32GB via MicroSD card.

Connectivity options include 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and it is a dual SIM phone and comes packed with a 2500 mAh battery.

It comes with Kwik Lock double tap on the home screen to lock the phone, Fit Home UI for single Hand operation, Pop i player, Music cafe and Gesture play.
