Redmi Note 12 Turbo Promo Posters Confirm Key Specs: 16GB RAM, 1TB Storage Announced

The Redmi Note 12 series will expand this week by welcoming the Redmi Note 12 Turbo Edition. Xiaomi has started promoting and teasing the Android smartphone via promotional posters.

Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chipset, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Turbo is the most powerful Android smartphone in the Note 12 series. It is the seventh Android smartphone in the series. The lineup currently includes Redmi Note 12 4G, Redmi Note 12 5G, Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G, Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G, Redmi Note 12 Explorer Edition, and Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition, most of which have launched outside China.

Xiaomi Shares Multiple Promo Posters Of The Redmi Note 12 Turbo 5G

Xiaomi has shared a few posters that confirm the announcement of the Redmi Note 12 Turbo 5G. These posters highlight the key specifications of the Android smartphone.

Xiaomi recently confirmed the launch date of the Redmi Note 12 Turbo 5G. The company announced the Android smartphone will be launched on March 28, 2023, but the launch will be limited to China for now.

Xiaomi has launched most of the Android smartphones, belonging to the Redmi Note 12 series, outside China. Hence, the Redmi Note 12 Turbo 5G should arrive in India in the next few weeks.

Redmi Note 12 Turbo 5G Specifications, Features

Xiaomi claims the Redmi Note 12 Turbo 5G will be the first smartphone in the world to feature the newly launched Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 SoC. No other brand has launched their smartphones with this SoC yet. Hence, Xiaomi's claims are true.

The 4nm octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 SoC, powering the Redmi Note 12 Turbo 5G, is a trimmed-down version of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. The SoC has an Adreno 725 GPU.

Xiaomi has claimed the Redmi Note 12 Turbo 5G will feature as much as 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. It is possible that some of the claimed RAM may include virtual RAM which repurposes some of the internal storage as virtual memory.

The Redmi Note 12 Turbo 5G is confirmed to feature a 6.67-inch 12-bit Full HD+ OLED display with 1920Hz pulse width modulation (PWM) dimming and HDR10+ support. Another poster reveals the smartphone has a flat display and a center-aligned hole-punch cutout for the front-facing camera, which could have a 16MP lens.

The triple rear camera setup on the Redmi Note 12 Turbo 5G has a 64MP primary camera. The specifications of the other two camera modules haven't been confirmed.

The Redmi Note 12 Turbo will pack a 5,000mAh battery, which Xiaomi claims, can offer "1.33 days" of battery life. The phone will have a thickness of 7.9mm and will weigh 181g. The smartphone has an NFC chip as well.

The Redmi Note 12 Turbo 5G should run MIUI 14, which should be based on Android 13. Previous reports have suggested the Redmi smartphone may have an under-display fingerprint scanner instead of a side-mounted one.
