Samsung Galaxy Gear Hands on Review: Designed for High Performance
Samsung Galaxy Gear: Build Quality, Design and Display
Samsung often produce handsets made of polycarbonate plastic. Some may like it, while others genuinely believe that Samsung should start making high-quality Galaxy smartphone.

Honestly, when we first saw the Galaxy Gear, our first reaction was ‘wow'. For a moment, it was impossible to see such a finesse device from the house of Samsung. Basically, the Galaxy Gear is a rare combination of aluminum face, plastic body and rubberized strap.
Coming to the display, the Gear has a decent touch enabled screen. Despite having a small screen, you'll find no issues while reading texts. The Gear has fairly large display, a 1.63-inch Super AMOLED display having a resolution of 320 x 320 pixels. The watch is not super thin at 11.1 mm, but we think the design is pretty much okay.

Moreover, the Gear comes in multiple colors (black, wild orange, beige, green and yellow). However, the rubberized strap, as seen in the image, cannot be removed. Those who wish to customize the watch; make sure you read all the important instructions before attempting anything wrong.

That's because the Gear is designed in such a manner that it is impossible to remove the strap from the device. Further, unlike the Sony SmartWatch 2, the Samsung Galaxy Gear isn't waterproof, but the watch can resist minor water droplets. The product is comfortable in nature, and there's no chance it‘ll fall off. Also, there is only single button on the watch, which allows you to power on/off the gear. The Gear gives you a complete solution, including a camera embedded in the strap itself.
