The Samsung Galaxy Gear Smart Watch will be launched with at least four different colors according to sources close to Sam Mobile. The intelligent watch will be available in four color options: White, Orange, Grey, and Black. There is a limited edition color option - White Gold; it "might or might not be exclusive to specific regions and carriers ", writes Sam Mobile. Further, the Galaxy Gear will hit retail stores around September end or October first week.
Samsung is eager to bring its intelligent watch, a little early than Apple's iWatch. There are different theories attached to Galaxy Gear - Be its display size or processor. Recently, GigaOM has come up with juicy details in respect to Samsung's forthcoming Smart Watch. The Galaxy Gear will have a 2.5-inch OLED display having resolution of 320 x 320 pixels instead of rumored 1.67-inches. It is also said to be powered by a 1.5GHz Exynos 4212 dual-core processor and Mali-400MP4 GPU.
The Smart Watch also houses Bluetooth 4.0 LE and NFC connectivity. There is a chance to see Galaxy Gear to have some sort of wireless connectivity. The Gear will also have built-in accelerometer. It is still to be revealed, whether Samsung goes for Android 4.1 or Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS. Most likely, the watch will be supported by Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, claims another report. Popular apps such as Facebook and Twitter, among others, will be integrated as well.
The model no Galaxy Gear (SM-V700), is said to manufacture by using flexible display. It will act as a companion accessory. While some reports suggest the Galaxy Gear can be fully optimized as a cellular device. Not many would agree to this point.
Apart from Samsung, Cupertino-based giant Apple is also making a Smart Watch. Apple may announce iWatch in middle of next-year. The Smart Watch will be made of using flexible display. And it will be compatible with iOS 7. Other details are still hidden, as of now.
Another player, LG is also thinking to jump into Smart Watch market. In an exclusive chat with GizBot, Steve Koh, Head - Mobile Communication at LG India, revealed that the company is making an intelligent watch.
