Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom Hands On Review: Awesome Camera, Ordinary Smartphone
Camera

The Galaxy S4 Zoom has not been designed to be a phone. Instead, what you get is a point and shoot camera. Under the hood, it has a 16-megapixel BSI sensor with a 10x optical zoom. The result? You end up with great pictures in low light conditions. There's also a handy optical image stabilisation feature for those moments when you have shaky hands.
We loved the zoom-ring control that we spoke about earlier. Its designed to even allow users to share a pictures during phone calls. Apart from that, it controls the optical zoom, and can even be used to launch the camera app.
As expected, the handset has numerous camera features on offer. Think of any kind of shooting mode, and the Galaxy S4 Zoom has it.
All in all, fitted with a Xenon flash, the S4 Zoom's rear camera snaps some brilliant pictures. Videos shot in 720p at 60fps offered some really fluid motion.
The S4 Zoom is one of the very few devices that offer this video setting. And since it has optical zoom instead of digital zoom, it allows for some solid detail when you zoom into pictures.
