Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom Hands On Review: Awesome Camera, Ordinary Smartphone

Verdict

The Samsung Galaxy S4 has a wonderful camera that provides good detail, great low-light performance and some splendid zooming that will allow it to beat most point and shoot cameras. However, all this imaging brilliance comes at a price. What might that be? Its screen. Since most of the space in the phone was eaten up by the camera, there is very little room left for a good screen, an so, Samsung gave it a mediocre display. There's nothing special about the phone's battery life or performance but the battery life is better that Nokia Lumia 1020.

At a price of about Rs. 27,000, the handset doesn't really offer enough value as a smartphone. Since it has a poor screen and mediocre performance, it will appeal only to shutter bugs. Minus the camera, there are other cheaper smartphones out there that offer a better Android experience to the S4 Zoom.

Who should buy this phone? Only those who are looking out for a smartphone with premium camera features should go for a Galaxy S4 Zoom.
