The Sony Honami i1 is on everyone's radar these days. Speculated to be unveiled on September 4 at IFA Berlin 2013, this 20 mega pixel camera phone is a critical device for the Japanese giant. After launching Xperia Z and Z Ultra, the Honami i1 would be the third high-end smartphone from the house of Sony.
Already, the Honami i1 has been leaked several times in the past few days. Now, new reports from Gadget Helpline claim that they have got the pictures comparing Honami i1 with the company's flagship Xperia Z. The Honami i1 will look like Xperia Z in terms of design, and the even the screen size looks same. These leaked images are enough to reveal how repackaged Xperia Z with better camera and new software additions.
A good look at images shows, Honami i1 is similar to Xperia Z, as both devices have a 5-inch Full display. The former phone looks taller than latter handset. The Honami i1 also sport thinner frame in comparison to Xperia Z. In another set of images, the camera UI is shown. It is different from regular Camera UI found in Sony Xperia handsets.
Even till now, the suspense around whether Honami i1 has a 20MP camera sensor remains there. Timeshift burst mode is incorporated by Sony to differentiate Honami I 1 from other phones. New additions such as filters and effects have been added. The Superior Auto feature is still there. Additionally, AR Effect feature is a welcome change.
The world is still waiting for Sony to announce it's much waited Honami i1 smartphone. Rumored to be announced with a 20-mega pixel camera with Sony G-lens and BIONZ image processor, this camera phone certainly has a chance to muscle point-and-shoot camera market.
The recent FCC filing hints at anticipated launch date of Honami i1 smartphone. The smartphone should be announced before September 30 followed by availably in the first week of October.

The Sony Honami i1 will have a 5-inch 1080p HD display. Being a high-end smarphone, it is natural to see a 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of ROM (expandable).
