Interface and Processor Capabilities

Xperia Tipo is powered by an 800MHz single core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and Adreno 200 GPU for superior graphics. Further, the handset is flavored with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS and it has 512MB offering decent and non-sluggish overall performance.

However, the lack of a better processor is evident when it comes to processor intensive applications and games and while multi-tasking, but that is quite common in any entry-level smartphone.

Further, Xperia Tipo has 2.9GB internal storage of which only 2.2GB is accessible to the users, which means that the other 0.7GB is being used by the preloaded applications and services. However, there is a micro SD card slot supporting expandable storage up to 32GB.

Xperia Tipo will not receive an Android Jelly Bean upgrade, but it is good with ICS as the platform supports maximum application compatibility.
