Sony Xperia Z3 Gets Android 5.0 Lollipop Update in India
Sony has started rolling out the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for Xperia Z3 followed by Xperia Z2. This Lollipop 5.0 is now available via Sony PC Companion, Bridge for Mac apps and OTA roll-out has begun.
Moreover, the company has expanded the Android 5.0 roll-out for Xperia Z3 Dual, Xperia Z1, Xperia Z1 Compact and Xperia Z Ultra smartphones to more markets.

Also, this update will reach the T2 Ultra and C3 devices next week. On the other hand, Lollipop update comes with new material design which offers a bold, colorful and responsive UI, refreshing notification system.
It will also allow the users to see the notification in the lock screen and they will get displayed like banners on the top of the screen.
Additionally, there is a do-not-disturb feature added to the notification bar. This update also contains battery optimization, which includes battery saver mode, job scheduling and a new developer tool called Battery Historian which tracks the battery consumption by an application.
Reiterating the specs of Xperia Z3, it sports a 5.2-inch display offering a Full HD resolution of 1920x1080 pixels. Other specs include Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 SoC with 2.5 GHz quad-core CPU, Adreno 330 GPU, 3GB RAM, Android 4.4 (Kitkat).

Moreover, it is equipped with 20.7 MP rear camera with auto focus and LED flash, 2.2 MP front-facing snapper, 16GB on board storage, microSD slot, 4G LTE, aGPS/GLONASS, Bluetooth 4.0, DLNA, NFC, Native USB tethering Synchronisation, USB High speed 2.0 and Micro USB support, Wi-Fi and WiFi Hotspot and 3100mAh battery.
