Spice Virtuoso Pro+ Mi-492 Launched for Rs 7,499: Top 5 Mid Range Smartphone Competitors

    With all the domestic manufacturers bringing out their handsets in market, Spice has also outed their latest handset called Virtuoso Pro+ Mi-492. If one looks at the specs of the handset, it s pretty evident that it is an upgraded variant of the previously launched Virtuoso Pro Mi-491. However, the differences are not much but minimal. The handset is currently available on oneline retailer Saholic at Rs. 7,499. The retailer also promises to offer EMIs starting from Rs. 481 per month.


    Recently even SmartNamo has launched two handsets with a compelling specs and features. Not only that but the players like Micromax and Karbonn are already soaring in the Indian smartphone market. Thus this newbie device will have to face quite a difficult opposition from handsets made by these manufacturers.

    However, lets have a look at the specs of the Virtuoso Pro+ Mi-492:

    The handset comes with a 4.5 inch TFT LCD capacitive display offering a resolution of 854x480 pixels. The device runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean version and is powered by a 1.3 GHz dual core processor coupled with 512 MB RAM. Moving on to camera, the handset features, 5 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 1.3 megapixel front facing shooter. It houses 4 GB ROM which can be expanded up to 32 GB via microSD card. The device also comes with a 2 GB of free Spice Cloud storage.

    Apart from bing a dual SIM (Dual GSM standby) handset, it also features, GPRS, EDGE, 3G WiFi, Bluetooth, USB and GPS. Spice Virtuoso Pro+ Mi-492 draws its power from a 1730 mAh battery.

Users can upgrade Iris 505 firmware via " Over the air " update.

    Panasonic T11

    The handset comes packed with 4 inch WVGA IPS display with a resolution of 480x800 pixels. The handset is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor and backed by 1GB RAM. It runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean platform. The smartphone comes with a dual SIM support (GSM + GSM). The T11 also comes with a 5MP rear camera which is loaded with autofocus and LED flash along with a 0.3 megapixel front facing camera. The Panasonic T11 is a mid-segment device which comes with 4GB internal memory that can be expanded up to 32GB via MicroSD card. Connectivity options include 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS and USB. This smartphone is powered by a 1500 mAh battery. It is priced at Rs. 9,520.

    Micromax Canvas 2 A110

    Micromax Canvas 2 A110 features 5 inch capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. It is powered by 1GHz dual core processor processor. runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. A100 Canvas 2 has an 8MP rear camera and 0.3MP front camera and houses 4GB internal storage, 512MB RAM and a micro SD card slot supporting up to 32GB expandable memory.     Iris 458q sports a 4.5-inch capacitive touchscreen with FWVGA resolution of 540x960 pixels and runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. It is powered by quad-core processor tuned to 1.2 GHz along with 512MB of RAM. The smartphone packs in 4GB of internal storage, which can be expanded by another 32GB via microSD card. Users can find an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a VGA front facing camera as well. The device supports Dual SIM (GSM + GSM) with Dual Standby and also provides users with 3G connectivity, Wi-Fi and A-GPS. The Lava 458q has a 2,000mAh battery and is priced for Rs 7,797.

    The Karbonn A27+ sports 5 inch capacitive touchscreen display offering a 540 x 960 pixels resolution. It is powered by dual core processor clocked to 1GHz and is supported by 512MB RAM. Karbonn A27+ runs on the Android Jelly Bean version 4.1.2 OS. The device is up for sale at Rs. 7,999 on Flipkart. The device houses 8MP rear camera with LED flash and auto focus and a front facing VGA camera as well for video calling. Connectivity options include 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi (b/g/n), Bluetooth, GPS, micro USB and A2DP.
