Gionee Elife E7 Set To Make Point And Shoot Camera Passe: Top 10 Challengers

    A point and Shoot camera, a small compact camera, was predicted dead by a renowned photographer, back in 2007. Now it seems that the real hero has arrived at the ground. Wait a second......we are not talking about just other camera phone.

    Recently, China-based Gionee unveiled its flagship handset for the Indian consumers. The Gionee Elife E7 is all set to take on big shot dedicated camera phones with a 16MP handset. Yes, this isn't a joke but a reality.


    Meet the Gionee Elife E7: the world's best camera phone. After a long wait, the successor to Gionee Elife E6 made its debut in India. The phone can give any other high end beast a tough competition. To be made available with 3GB (RAM), the Gionee Elife E7 also boasts of 4G LTE, another advantage for Indian consumers.

    Elife E7, the successor to E6 features a massive 5.5-inch Full HD display having a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Also, the display is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and a 2.33mm ultra-narrow frame.

    The phone is powered by Qualcomm's most powerful 2.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 MSM8974 processor, backed by 3GB of RAM with 32GB/16GB of internal memory. Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS comes out of the box with Amigo 2.0 UI on the top.

    Coming to its camera, the E7 brings an out of the world imaging experience. There's a 16-megapixel camera sensor featuring Auto Focus with 1/2.3″ 1.34 µm Largan M8 sensor, 5 element Sapphire Lens and an 8-megapixel front-facing shooter.

    Other connectivity features include: 4G LTE/3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, WiFi Direct, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, USB, OTG and NFC. Moreover, the makers have added a 2,500mAh battery fitted inside. The phone measures 9.5mm in terms of thickness and weighs 150 grams. The device also boasts of 3 microphones for crystal clear sound.

    The Elife E7 will be available in Black, White, Blue, Green, Orange and Red colors. The retail availability of Gionee Elife E7 will begin starting first week of January next year. The 16GB and 32GB variant will cost Rs.26,999 and Rs.29,999 respectively.
