Unveiled back in February at the International Mobile World Congress 2014, Samsung's latest and premium smartphone the Galaxy S5 is now all set to launch in India today. The smartphone has a breath-taking features and the new hardwares incorporated in the device are also quite impressive.

We would also like refresh on the specs and the features of the device. The Galaxy S5 is also more like the revved up variant of the Galaxy S4, which is still one of the best selling handset globally. However, the latest one comes with better specs and more advanced features.

The device incorporates a lot of new features like Heart Rate Sensor, Dust and Water Resistant, Fingerprint Scanner, Power Saving Mode and a camera with a fastest auto-focusing mechanism.

When it comes to the specs, Samsung Galaxy S5 features a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED FHD display. The handset is completely waterproof (IP 67-certified) but still made out of plastic. It is powered by a 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 CPU coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB of on-board storage, which can be expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card slot.

On the imaging front, the Galaxy S5 offers a decent 16-megapixel rear-facing camera that features UHD (4K) recording facility. Also, add a 2.1MP front-facing snapper for taking selfies.

The S5 comes with Android 4.2.2 Kitkat with Samsung's native TouchWiz user interface. The makers have added a removable 2,800mAh battery fitted inside. With the Galaxy S5, Samsung also tried to integrate health and fitness related features.
