Part of the Q series, Xolo Q1000S is a classy looking device loaded with 1.5 GHz quad-core processor, 13 MP rear and 5 MP front camera, 16 GB internal memory, 2500 mAh battery and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean platform.

Key Specifications

As informed before, Xolo Q1000S comes packed with a 5 inch HD IPS screen with OGS display technology. The display comes with a resolution of 1280x720 with 294 PPI.

With the power of 1.5 GHz Quad Core processor to run multiple apps simultaneously and get faster UI response, Xolo Q1000S is coupled with 1 GB RAM and there is a MTK 6589T chipset, PowerVR SGX544 graphics to support performance.

On the camera front, Xolo Q1000S sports a 13 MP rear camera with BSI 2 sensor and on the front 5 MP also with BSI sensor has been fitted for 3G video calling. The 13 MP Camera is capable of recording Full HD 1080p videos and can capture clear images even when the camera is shaking using the image stabilization technology. Other features of camera are scene detection and tuning, high dynamic range (HDR), low light enhancement, face recognition( for focusing as well as in gallery), panorama capture and geo tagging. It can capture up to 99 shots through its burst mode feature so that you don't miss any moment.

There is a 16 GB internal storage capacity but the handset lacks a microSD card support. Connectivity options include USB, Bluetooth, WiFi, WLAN and 3G.

Eventually the slim phablet is powered by a 2500 mAh battery which delivers a music playback time up to 53 hours (via internal speakers) and up to 34.6 hours (via wired headset). It offers stand by time of up to 425 hours on 3G and up to 327 hours on 2G, talk time of up to 22.5 hours on 2G and up to 12.5 hours on 3G.

There is nothing quite unique about the quad core processor that Xolo Q1000S possesses. Perhaps, looking from the price perspective, the handset is pretty awesome. The camera and BSI sensor is an advantage in the handset.

However, Q1000S will come in contrast with a series of handset that are likely to compete against it. More precisely, devices like Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos I9082, Nokia Lumia 820, LG Optimus L9 P765, Lenovo Ideaphone S920 and Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 will probably be the top rivals against the slim Q1000S.
