Get set for a musical extravaganza with Razer's Electra Headphones

 

More and more companies are entering the market by introducing their range of gaming head phones. These headphones are especially designed to satisfy all the needs of the gamers.

Razer launched the Electra headphone very recently. The company is already famous for their gaming mouse and has decided to gain foot hold in the audio segment too. The Electra headphones can be used by both gamers and audiophiles alike. The device has very large headphones than can cover your ear and is covered with premium quality leather material .It features the Razer’s signature green color. The headband is also covered in thick leather padding to ensure snug and comfortable fit. Even though it is a bit bulky the head phone can be easily used during day to day commutation too. The device weighs approximately 284 grams.

The driver in the device is 40 mm and has neodymium magnets with copper covered aluminum voice coil. Razer Electra gaming headphones have a frequency response in between 25 Hz and 16, 000 Hz. The sensitivity of the device at 1 KHz is 104dB, give or take 3 dB. The headphones work with an input power of 50mW.The cable has 1.3 meter length and is covered in a rubber protective casing. The 3.5 mm connector is placed at one end of the cable.

The sound quality of Razer Electra gaming headphones are very good. The device offers superior voice clarity and very powerful bass. This much efficient bass response is obtained with the help of the optimized sound drivers. The over the ear headphones block out most of the noise in the room. So even if the user is in a LAN gaming zone or the user is in a busy street listening to music, a complete and ultimate audio experience can be guaranteed by the headphone. The leatherette covering in the headphones also provides good ventilation too. So even after hours of gaming or music the user will not feel any discomfort.

 

The headphone also features an inline microphone. The microphone is omni-directional type and is good for multiplayer gaming. The frequency response of the device is between 100Hz and 10, 000 Hz. The microphone has an SNR or signal to noise ratio of 58dB.This is a measure of the voice clarity offered by the microphone and a SNR of 58 dB is very impressive. The sensitivity of the microphone at 1 KHz is about 44dB +/- 4dB.

The inline remote in the device contains the basic music manipulation options like play and pause. The volume control option is also in the remote that can be used to increase and decrease the sound output. The device is compatible with phones like Apple iphone, HTC and Blackberry.

Razer Electra gaming headphone is available with a price tag of about Rs. 2, 700/- in India.
