Pioneer’s New Micro Stereo Systems
Micro stereo systems from Pioneer are named X-HM10, X-HM20DAB, X-HM70DAB and XC-HM70DAB and was built based on the successful X-HM50 model micro system which was launched last year on the month of September. Each of the four Pioneer micro Stereo systems will suit all your music playing needs. They even come with USB ports for playback of tracks from even USB storage devices. The USB port is built in the front of the stereo systems. But USB ports won't be of any help if you are intending to play audio files other than Mp3 or WMA formats. It's rather disappointing but think of the bright side - almost all audio tracks come in mp3 format nowadays. Except X-HM10, all the other 3 models are equipped with integrated docks for iPod and iPhone. The dock is on the top of the cabinet and it enables playback from iPod and iPhone and charges them as well, if they are docked that is.
The micro stereo systems are very much similar in size. Each device has almost the same width measure of about 21.5 cm. Both the premium offerings are comparatively taller with about 11.1cm to 9cm height and the measurement of depth 32cm - 30 cm. The entry level model, X-HM10, is pretty compact and has 2 speakers of 15 W power output. X-HM20DAB is cooler and more enhanced with higher grade speakers which are complete with the 5cm tweeter and the 10cm awesome woofer. It also delivers DAB Radio with good quality. Docking support of iPod/iPhone is provided and iPad can be connected via the USB port as well.
The one which is really worth mentioning is the coolest model among the 4 stereo systems -X-HM70DAB with features like Internet Radio and music streaming and playback from the home network. It means you can make use of any internet station in the World and play music from any computers or server connected to the same LAN via the DLNA.
If you want to know the rating based on the Speakers, X-HM70DAB's speakers will score the maximum with a 12 cm built in woofer and an impressive output of 50W for each speakers. Without speakers, the model is available as XC-HM70DAB.
X-HM10 stereo system is expected to have price in India at Rs 9,800/- and for X-HM20DAB and X-HM70DAB stereo systems, the expected price in India are approx. Rs 15,000/- and Rs 30,000/- respectively. The speaker less version of the latter, known as XC-HM70DAB is expected to have a price in India of Rs 24,000/-.
