Sony refreshes Android Walkman Series with new features
Sony refreshes the Android based Walkman Series bringing in new features for enhanced music experience. Walkman F800 is the latest PMP from the company which is an Android media player of 3.5 inch replacing their middling Z series. Sony has also refreshed their noise-cancelling E series models. The price tags of the refreshed models are also pretty affordable for even normal consumers.
The most interesting element of the Walkman F800 is that it arrives with Android 4.0 bringing in a more sophisticated platform for energising the music scenarios. Wireless connectivity and data transfer options are provided with WiFi and Bluetooth facility respectively. The storage options with these models ranges from 8GB to 16GB and can be ramped up to 32GB providing ample space for storing favourite music. An impressive video playback time of up to 4.5 hours is also available with this new handheld model. This is said to be Sony’s flagship model and will reach the European markets at a price tag of around Rs. 14,000/-.
Sony’s noise-cancelling E series is other notable music gadgets in the refreshed list. The hardware side of these models are not that much altered maintaining the 2-inch LCD screen, but it will arrive in a variety of colour options and patterns blending style with audio efficiency. They arrive with a new dock running on battery which augments the existing built-in speaker.
If you are impressed with the features of E series, but needs a wireless experience, then Bluetooth Walkman S770BT will be the ideal choice. Unlike the Bluetooth addition, other specs are somewhat similar to that of E series models. These models range from around Rs. 4,000/- to around Rs. 6,000/- for the 8 GB to 32 GB versions.
While the Walkman F800 arrives in a single colour option, i.e. a matte black finish the E series models will reach in rainbow colour options. Both these models are light and can easily slip in to your pockets making them handy for travelling. Sony also mentioned unlimited support from Google Play for their models. Music will never remain the same with these refreshed Android based Walkman Series around you.
