Speakal iHog Docking Station

Conventional iPod docking stations have been received well always. A number of manufacturers wish to develop their business by bringing out iPod docking stations which not only docks your iPod but also looks great. iPod docking stations of several sizes and shapes are coming out each year. Now Speakal, a home entertainment life style oriented company, recently launched their new iPod docking station speaker system. Speakal iPod docking station named iHog is pretty awesome both in looks and performance and is very likely to be a huge success.

Speakal iHog docking station is hog shaped and comes in pink and white colours. You would like it the moment you look at it. iHog comes with an AC Power adapter/cable, battery powered remote controller and obviously a standard 3.5mm audio jack. It will have a user manual as well. Although it looks quite big for a docking station, Speakal iHog Docking Station is pretty lightweight about 4 lbs. Its rechargeable Li battery offers 10 hours life when fully charged. Speakal iHog has a universal dock enabling you to dock not just iPods but also iPhones.

iHog's 2.1 speaker system is brilliantly designed to deliver awesome sound in 360 degrees. iHog's audio performance owes, it all, to all four of its super cool speakers and the two tweeters. The two sound diffusers enhance the audio along with the 20 Watt subwoofer. It's highly amplified stereo system is very much worth the praise and just all these specs combined makes the iHog one of the coolest iPod dock around. iHog supports frequencies ranging from 50 KHz to 20 KHz and features optimized airflow as well. It can shake everything in your room with its total power output of more than 28 Watts.

iHog is similar to the Speakal's iPig docking station, probably a spin off. But it's better in power and is very portable as well. Its volume control responds very well to touch inputs and the iPod navigation is quite smooth too. Bass and treble adjustments are also possible which makes it unique. Not a lot of docking stations have such major features. The 3.5mm jack in iHog lets you connect it to video game consoles, TVs and many compatible music sources. Reportedly Speakal is soon to launch iHog in a new Panda colour. Proud owners of iPods and iPhones are going to have a blast with Speakal iHog docking station speaker system which would probably be price in India at around Rs 6,700/- in India.
