How about getting true surround sound from your television by just plugging in a soundbar without additional wires or time consuming set-up?
Energy has launched two soundbars – Power Bar and Power Bar Elite. These have been designed to give improved movie and television sound and offer the simulated experience of a surround system with multiple speakers. They will fill your room with a really involving sound without requiring any kind of professional or complex installation.
Power Bar Elite consists of a side-firing wireless 10-inch sub-woofer which can immediately connect to the soundbar once you’ve plugged it to a power source. The Power Bar model though, comes with a wireless 8-inch sub-woofer. They have attractive matte black finish and are quite easy to set up so they can be controlled with your TV remote controls. They also feature an optical cable of 1.5m.
With Power Bar Elite you also get compact and attractive credit card-design remote. The wireless system is really convenient as you don’t need to watch out for tangling wires. Delving deeper into the technology, Energy has equipped Power Bar Elite with a truly two-way driver speaker design that is quite similar to what you’ll find in a high quality music speaker.
It has a .78-inch tweeter and dual mid-bass 3-inch drivers that are capable of offering high-output and detailed sound for a room of almost any size. The mid-woofers and tweeters are placed close by so that they provide smooth sound dispersion as from a single source.
Whatever be the format of the sound you get from the television, the Dolby Digital Decoder that is built-in enables the soundbar to always reproduce high quality and detailed sound. The 3D Surround Mode is another great feature than enables Power Bar Elite to make the sound more spacious and really fill the entire room like a 5.1 home theatre. This surround sound mode does not require you to make any modifications to your room or change the placement of your speakers.
Energy’s Tommy Jacobs claims that the objective behind the development of Energy Power Bar Elite has been to provide really satisfying surround sound from the television so users can actually feel the effects of listening to a multi-speaker set-up. Jacobs reminds that this kind of experience is hard to get from modern televisions, thanks to the thin cabinets they use for aesthetic attraction.
Energy has placed a price tag amounting to around Rs. 31,285 for the Power Bar Elite and Rs. 20,855 for the Power Bar. Power Bar Elite comes with two keyhole mounts to mount it on the wall. There also two rubber feet if don’t wish to mount the soundbar. The package also comes with the aforementioned 1.5m optical cable and credit card remote in addition to the RCA cable.
