Nikon D5500 Details

The Nikon D5500 is launched in India. It is of type Single-lens reflex digital camera. This new inclusion to the Nikon department comes with dimension as 4.9 x 3.9 x 2.8 in. (W x H x D), and weighs approx. 470 g (Including battery and card). The entry-level DSLR delivers better imaging performance and superior quality images and videos through better imaging technologies, including 24.2 MP DX-format(APS-C) CMOS sensor with no optical low-pass filter (OLPF), and the EXPEED 4 image processor. It offers a high-speed continuous shooting rate of approximately 5 frames per second.

     The D5500 features a 3.2-inch vari-angle LCD monitor, that lets you shoot at 170 degree angle. It features 39 AF (Auto Focus) points, which helps in focusing the moving objects in an outstanding way. It offers auto White balance with the imaging sensor. Then there is viewfinder of type Eye-level pentamirror single-lens reflex viewfinder, with coverage of approx 95%. The presence of touch Fn feature, lets you make adjustments to a pre-assigned camera setting using your thumb, without looking away from the viewfinder, including auto sensitivity control on/off switching.

 

     With the EXPEED 4 image processor, the standard ISO speed reaches 25600, that allows you to achieve crisp and sharp images in which noise is effectively suppressed. With a one-time setup through the free SnapBridge app, the D5500 wirelessly connects to your compatible smart device via the built-in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or NFC. The device comes with 18-55mm kit lens by default. This entry level Nikon D5500 is priced at Rs. 48,600 in Indian market.
