Apple's Appeal For Dismissing Butterfly Keyboard Lawsuit Rejected
It seems Apple isn't getting rid of it class-action lawsuit over its faulty butterfly keyboards anytime soon. The federal judge has rejected the Cupertino-based tech company's request for dismissing the case. According to Reuters, the lawsuit will proceed further and judgment will be taken on the case.

As per the report, affected users who have filed the lawsuit against Apple believe that the company was aware of the problem. Apple knew but dissembled the fact that the MacBook models which were manufactured in 2015 and later are prone to dysfunction after a certain amount of time.
The company also knew that even after the repair program or replacement of the butterfly keyboard will not fix the issue permanently. In this case, users don't have any other choice rather than using the laptop with an external keyboard or buy a new laptop altogether.
According to San Jose District Judge Edward Davila, Apple should accept the allegations of deficient fix program and repay the users who have faced inconvenience and paid for the repair from their own pockets.
The lawsuit covers all the users who have purchased Macbook models manufactured in 2015 and 2016 Macbook Pro models. All the laptops which are equipped with butterfly keyboard are under the lawsuit and if Apple loses the lawsuit, it is expected to repay all the users.
Apple has already faced a lot of criticism regarding this issue and many users have complained over the butterfly keyboard's malfunction. To control the situation, the company launched a repair program in which it covered all the MacBook, Macbook Pro, and MacBook Air models and replaced the butterfly keyboards.
The company has made a lot of changes with the design and functionality of its butterfly keyboard to make it more durable, but it seems that all the experiments were useless and the keyboards are still prone to failure.
