Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 India launch, exclusively on Flipkart

On Tuesday Indian e-commerce company Flipkart announced a long-term strategic partnership with Taiwanese technology company Asus. The smartphone maker has made it confirmed that ZenFone Max Pro M1 will soon debut in India.

The ZenFone Max Pro M1 will be exclusively available for purchase through Flipkart. The smartphone will be available for sale at 12:30 pm IST on April 23. This will be the global launch of the ZenFone Max Pro M1 model. However, the price details are not yet disclosed by the company.

So Flipkart has become the premium partner and seller for the Asus handsets in India. The e-commerce site will be the primary sales channel for Asus ZenFones. In the press conference, Flipkart has revealed that the upcoming ZenFone Max Pro M1 will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC. However, the specifications like the display size, resolution, aspect ratio, camera setup, image sensors, battery capacity and the operating system are yet to be revealed.

Along with the ZenFone Max Pro M1's sales, both the company has also inked a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate in the co-creation of new products based on customer insights for the Indian market. Both the company has noded to support each other in planning and executing the marketing activities for Asus ZenFone models and upcoming launches.

"Flipkart's unparalleled distribution reach and marketing strengths will help Asus build strong awareness for our innovative high-value products and reach consumers across India," said Asus CEO Jerry Shen.

"With this partnership with Asus, we're multiplying those efforts by collaborating to leverage our individual strengths to build smartphones truly customized for India. Ultimately, we want the latest smartphone technology to be affordable and accessible to everyone," said Flipkart CEO Kalyan Krishnamurthy.

During MWC 2018, Asus has launched its ZenFone 5 series and the smartphone was expected to hit the market later this month. With this partnership, Asus is also expected to introduce the ZenFone 5 series in India soon.
