According to the report, Apple told that they have issued 1,493 iPhone units to the scammers and each unit have given the loss of $600. The company has also rejected the replacement of 1,576 units and returned it to the users.

Now the question arises that how Jiangand and Zhou manage to faked the IMEI number of the iPhone units, because IMEI numbers are very crucial detail to check the warranty of the unit.
