FASTag Users: KYC Deadline Extended to Feb 29 - Update Documents Now
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has extended the deadline for complying with the Know Your Customer (KYC) norms for FASTags until February 29, 2024. This extension aims to give users more time to update their KYC information and adhere to the 'One Vehicle, One FASTag' initiative.
With this rule in place, each vehicle can only have one active FASTag, and any additional FASTags linked to the same vehicle will be deactivated.

How to Update FASTag KYC Information
Updating your FASTag KYC information is a simple process that can be done online. Follow these steps to update your KYC for FASTag:
Checking FASTag KYC Status
To check the status of your FASTag KYC update, visit the official FASTag website and log in using your registered mobile number and OTP. From the homepage, navigate to the "My Profile" section and review the details on the KYC status page.
Required Documents for Updating KYC
When updating your FASTag KYC information, you will need to provide several documents, including a vehicle registration certificate, driver's license, identity proof (such as PAN or voter's ID card), address proof (such as Aadhaar Card or passport), and passport-size photographs. Make sure to have these documents readily available to ensure a smooth updating process.
The extension of the deadline for complying with KYC norms for FASTags allows users more time to update their information and adhere to the 'One Vehicle, One FASTag' rule. By following the steps outlined above, FASTag users can easily update their KYC information and ensure a seamless electronic toll collection experience.
How FASTag Works
FASTag operates through Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology. It consists of a small sticker affixed to a vehicle's windscreen. This technology enables seamless electronic toll payments at over 615 toll plazas across the country. Linked to the vehicle's registration details, FASTag automatically deducts the applicable toll fees from the associated digital wallet as the vehicle passes through a toll booth.
