Genius BV200 SVGA Portable Pico Projector Announced at Rs 15,000

 

Genius, a Taiwan based consumer electronic major has announced the launch of BV200, a pocket standalone multimedia projector. ‘BV’ stands for Brand ‘BellaVision’. The company is expecting to make deeper inroads in to the digital projection business with the announcement of this device. 

The device features an SVGA display with a resolution of 800 x 600 pixels. It also features 25 bright energy efficient lumens.

Genius BV200 multimedia projector is designed to display movies and photos from devices such as Smartphones, camcorders, PSP, memory cards and so on. The device features a built-in internal storage capacity of 1GB capable of providing efficient storage facility. 

One of the major attractions of BV200 is its design. The palm-sized design is very sleek. The package also consists of a travel pouch making it easy to carry the device along for doing instant presentations.

BV200 Projector system requirements include: 
  • Windows 7/Vista/XP SP2

  • 1.4 GHz Intel Dual Core Processor or above versions
  • Minimum 1 GB storage
  • Minimum 256MB RAM
  • It has got a 3780 mAh rechargeable battery that can be operated in eco mode for around 2 hours. Good sound clarity is promised with built-in stereo speakers in the device. The connection interfaces include mini-USB for data transfer and 32GB expandable MicroSD card slot. 

    The photo formats supported include JPEG, BMP and PNG. The supported video formats include AVI, MOV, 3GP, WMV and MP4. The multimedia projector is supported by RGB LED illumination source. The sequential contrast ratio is given as 300:1. Genius BV200 Projector is now available in India at a price tag of Rs 15,000.
