The Kerala government has approved the Kerala-Fiber Optic Network (K-Fon) project. This project will provide a high-speed free fiber internet connection to more than 20 Lakh Below Poverty Line (BPL) families in the state. According to the report, the government has sanctioned Rs. 1,548 crore for this project and it has been expected that the project will be completed by December 2020.
