Samsung Addwash smart washing machine with connected tech launched

Top tech payers are now shifting their focus to Internet of Things for machine to machine interaction and to connect technology with human lives for easing tasks. Working towards connected homes and appliances, Samsung Electronics today introduced the WW8500 AddWash, a new age smart washing machine with connected technology, at its event in IFA 2015.

The unique feature of this WW8500 AddWash machine is that it allows users to drop clothes in the machine even in between a wash cycle. The machine gets an additional ‘Add Door' technology which allows users to stop the spinning drum on pressing of the pause button, and then add laundry to the wash. The AddWash is good for delicate hand-wash only fabrics which can be added at the start of the rinse cycle.

The AddWash washing machine comes with connectred technology which allows users to control it remotely via a smartphone. It can be connected with Android as well as iOS devices through an app. One can monitor and operate the machine, as well as receive notifications to their smartphone.

Other features in the machines include of SuperSpeed cycle, for speeding up the washing, SuperSpray which uses a jet of water to rinse detergent more effectively, and improved ecobubble function creates thicker bubbles.

Earlier this week, LG also announced that it will be showcasing a smart oven and a connected refrigerator at IFA 2015. The company also introduces ThinqSensor can be connected to an old machine to let it connect to other devices.
