Sony Announces Xperia Ion At Rs 36,999; Smart Watch And Android ICS Upgrade For Existing 2011 Range in India [Report]

On Tuesday, Sony India seemed to be on a rollout spree. As the Japanese phone maker made slew of announcements related to its devices to be coming in India.

The first major announcement eagerly awaited by all, was the release of Xperia ion in India at a price of Rs 36,999.

Secondly, Sony Mobile confirmed on their Facebook timeline that the company's reknowned accessory SmartWatch will be launch in India by the end of June at a price tag of Rs 6,299.

And last but not the least Sony finally revealed on its official blog that the company will be rolling out Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) update to the existing 2011 Xperia range in the market, starting from this week.
