Google Introduces Santa Tracker App, Website to Mark Countdown Until Christmas

With the holiday seasons almost upon us, Google has gone on to add some extra joy to the season. And accordingly, the company has launched its Santa Tracker interactive website that offers a host of games and others to mark the festive season.

"Starting today, the elves are back on the clock in the North Pole-and throughout the month of December, you can join the elves as they unlock a new project or game each day in preparation for Santa's annual journey around the world," the company announced via its official blog.

The newly introduced website for the same takes users to Santa's village. The website offers a plethora of interactive options with a number of games including skydiving, reindeer racing and other similar animations. The website also offers users knowledge on different holiday traditions, while also offering them Javascript courses for the same.

Apart from that, Google has also launched a brand new Santa Tracker app for Android, alongside a Chrome browser extension for the same. The app will also show a countdown timer until the eve of Christmas, apart from Santa's scheduled travelling path worldwide and his exact location for the moment. There's also Android Wear integration for the same.

"Throughout the holiday celebration, our own developer elves here at Google have also been hard at work getting the sleigh tracking algorithm ready for prime time," the page adds. "The developer elves have been busy, so check out the chrome extension and keep a watch out for Santa surprises throughout the month."
