Ubislate 7 is available online for Rs 2,999
Aakash tablet which is the cheapest tablet in the world has announced in the Q4 of 2011. It was expected to be shipped to the consumers in March. But, as we already reported, there was delay in the testing of the device. Aakash tablet is meant for the students and Ubislate 7 is the retail version of it.
Last month, Datawind announced the launch of Ubislate 7+ and 7C tablets. These are available for price in India of Rs 2,999 and Rs 3,999 respectively. Both have similar features and specifications. The 7C has a 4 GB internal flash memory while 7+ has only 2 GB. These tablets are powered by the Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system.
The tablets are equipped with an 800 MHz ARM Cortex A8 processor and have 256 MB RAM. They have 7 inch capacitive touchscreen display with resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. These devices also support connectivity options like Wi-Fi.
Datawind also announced that those who have pre-ordered the Ubislate 7+ will start receiving their orders soon. The tablets will be available at retail stores in some months. But now, the online retailer site, Deals and You has listed the Ubislate 7+. The price in India as per the listing is Rs 2,999.
The website is offering free shipping and there is cash on delivery option as well.
