Facebook’s own Virtual Assistant ‘M’ is now official!
Meet the ‘M' - the Facebook's answer to Google Now, Siri and Cortana. The Social Networking giant today officially unveiled their virtual assistant that will be incorporated within their existing messenger app.
Speaking on the addition of the virtual assistant, Facebook Messenger lead David Marcus quoted "Today we're beginning to test a new service called M. M is a personal digital assistant inside of Messenger that completes tasks and finds information on your behalf. It's powered by artificial intelligence that's trained and supervised by people."

Marcus further added that unlike other assistant services the M can actually complete entire tasks on your behalf. Even it is capable of listing tasks like purchasing items, getting gifts delivered to your loved ones, book restaurants, travel arrangements and so on. The USP of the assistant lies in the fact that it will need users to tap out the messages unlike other services which require users to speak.
Despite the launch of the new assistant analysts at Gizbot believe that the app will take its sweet own time to become at par with the existing personal assistants available at present. In fact the main problem lies in understanding various accents and command. With multiple updates and upgrades the M will finally become fully ready to tackle the competition. But one thing is for sure - we have a great virtual assistant in the ‘making'!
