Kirthiga Reddy was born in Chennai, Tamilnadu, India to middle class parents.

Kirthiga Reddy is educated in B.E in Computer Engineering from Mahatma Gandhi Mission's college of Computer Science. She later went to Stanford Graduate School of Business.



She is married to Devanand Reddy and has two children

Kirthiga Reddy is a Fitness enthusiast who runs Marathons, does Pilates and Yoga.

Kirthiga Reddy announced her decision to wind up from Facebook India in a couple of months. She will be moving to US where she will be playing a larger role at Facebook headquarters in US.

Free Basics ban


The Decision comes after Facebook Free Basics was banned in India on grounds that it does not adhere to net neutrality. Kirthiga Reddy has said that she was not associated with the Free Basics Programme.
