Twitter Highlights Tab Launched: Is Elon Musk Using The Feature To Increase Twitter Blue Subscriptions?
Twitter has launched a new Highlights tab. As the name suggests, the new tab allows users to showcase their important stories, tweets, and posts. Twitter CEO Elon Musk has also confirmed the development of a dedicated video app for smart TVs.
Twitter has adopted a feature from Instagram. Similar to Instagram Profile Highlights, Twitter Highlights lets users showcase significant story updates on top of their profile feed. Let's check out the availability and features of the latest addition to Twitter.

Twitter Highlights Tab Is Now Available But For Twitter Blue Subscribers Only
Twitter has been testing the new Highlights tab last few months with a select few users initially. The microblogging platform has now officially rolled out the feature to all Twitter Blue subscribers.
Those who have subscribed to the Twitter Blue service can now add their tweets in a dedicated tab on their profile. The new feature appears to be inspired by Instagram's stories highlights feature, which lets users showcase significant story updates on top of their profile feed.
Is Elon Musk Using Twitter Highlights Feature To Boost Blue Subscriptions?
Twitter Highlights is available only to Twitter Blue subscribers. However, its dedicated tab and the Add/Remove from Highlights option will still be visible to everyone using the platform's app on iOS and Android.
For non-paying Twitter users, tapping on the option redirects them to the subscription page for Twitter Blue. Simply put, the newly-added option and the tab could be acting as a reminder to join Twitter Blue.
For Indian users, Twitter Blue is priced at ₹650 per month on the web and ₹900 per month on the Android or iOS platforms. Twitter also offers annual plans at ₹6,800 and ₹9,400 on the web and mobile respectively.
Twitter Highlights appear to be a good feature. However, it would only allow users to highlight their own Tweets, Stories, and posts. The feature would have had a much bigger impact if users would be able to see the tweets that have been added by other users to the dedicated tab.
