Elon Musk’s X Cuts Subscription Prices in India by Up to 48% — Here Are All the New Rates
Elon Musk’s platform X, formerly known as Twitter, has revised its subscription pricing for Indian users, introducing major reductions across all account tiers.
The updated rates are now live on the company’s official subscription page.

New Pricing for Premium and Basic Plans
The X Premium subscription, which previously cost ₹900 per month on mobile, is now priced at ₹470—a 48% reduction. On the web, the monthly Premium rate has dropped from ₹650 to ₹427, a 34% cut. Annual pricing for the Premium tier remains unavailable at this time.
The Basic subscription tier has also been revised. Users will now pay ₹170 per month instead of ₹243.75. The annual cost has been reduced to ₹1,700, down from ₹2,590.48. Basic accounts offer core features such as editing posts, posting longer content, background video playback, and media downloads, but do not include the verification badge.
Premium Plus Sees Significant Drop
Premium Plus, the highest tier on X, has also undergone a major price drop. Web users will now pay ₹2,570 per month, compared to the earlier rate of ₹3,470. For mobile users, the price has been reduced from ₹5,100 to ₹3,000 per month.
Premium Plus accounts include additional features such as an ad-free experience, full-length article publishing, and access to SuperGrok—X’s AI tool powered by Grok 4.
Price Differences Between Mobile and Web
The platform continues to show price variation between web and mobile subscriptions due to platform-based commission fees.
Web subscriptions are typically lower as they bypass app store charges, whereas mobile pricing factors in commissions from platforms like Google Play Store and Apple’s App Store.
