Instagram Stories to get regram feature
Instagram to soon let you share Stories.
Instagram owned by Facebook is one of the popular social media platforms used by many out there. However, the desktop experience of Instagram is not on par with those of the Android and iOS apps. Instagram does not offer a great way to promote the posts on other platforms. Well, the talk is about the inability to share posts on Instagram such as retweet in Twitter and share on Facebook.
Though there is no official option, third-party apps let users regram a picture posted on Instagram. Back in December last year, we came across report tipping that Instagram is working on a new set of features including the ability to regram posts within its app. Now a TechCrunch report has also tipped that the company is testing a similar function within its Stories feature.
According to the report, users of Instagram can select a post on their feed and tap on a button in order to embed it as a part of their Stories. The quoted Stories can be customized with test, stickers, etc. before it is taken live. This is said to be called quote-Story. The report adds that those who check the story out and encounter the quote-Story can actually tap through to see the full view.
The report goes on stating that users who do not want their posts to be quote-Storied can turn off the ability to share their posts from the Settings menu. Only the public posts on Instagram can be shared by others.
Instagram appears to consider Stories as a self-destructive visual blog with a duration of 24 hours. This is meant for user and brands to showcase what they care about the most. This could be a way to intra-promote items in the static posts such as content and contests. These posts usually get lost in feeds and the introduction to regram them should be a great option for many users.
The ability to regram Instagram Stories will be great for the users as it is more convenient than taking a screenshot of the same. To put an end to it, Instagram came up with a feature, which will send users a notification when another user is taking a screenshot of their Stories.
